IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE

About

Join us for a reimagined version of America’s beloved holiday classic!

“… a bright, energetic and uplifting holiday show with plenty of laughs, good cheer and poignant moments for children and adults alike." -- Mark Bretz, Ladue News

Great for the whole family! The beloved American holiday classic leaps to life on stage in a delightful, heartwarming new adaptation. On Christmas Eve 1949, KMTC Radio St. Louis is prepared to perform a live radio broadcast of It’s a Wonderful Life, when unexpected events transform the station’s staff into the radio play’s actors. Complete with microphones, live sound effects by a Foley artist, 1940s period costumes, and a diverse company of characters, the play tells the story of George Bailey and his discovery of the life-affirming message that one life can change the whole fabric of a community.

Become an angel and earn your wings!

Earn your wings by helping us meet the Berges Family Foundation Matching Challenge.

The Berges Family Foundation has presented a generous challenge through which they have offered to match new, non-corporate donations dollar for dollar up to $25,000. This means that your contribution will have even greater impact as part of a total $50,000 of funding towards Metro’s operations.

Only 29% of production costs are covered by ticket sales. However, your tax-deductible donation not only funds our productions but also enables us to continue providing and growing our award-winning education programs, such as our visual and performing arts-integrated social studies program Junior Detectives and our signature anti-bullying program Say Something Do Something.

We hope you will consider taking the next step and increasing your support with a charitable gift, which will allow us to reach even more young people in the St. Louis Metro Area.

Donors at all levels will receive a Metro Theater Company wings button and have the opportunity to ring Zuzu’s bell before or after any performance of It’s a Wonderful Life. Thank you to all of our angels for making our work possible!
