International Volunteer Day

Valerie Goldston

International Volunteer Day is Monday, December 5!

Metro Theater Company is grateful for our many volunteers who help keep our organization thriving throughout the year. One of those wonderful volunteers is Valerie Goldston! We asked Valerie a few questions about her work with us and some of her favorite MTC memories. She shared, “I really enjoy volunteering with Metro Theater. I started ushering when a friend of my was the house manager and posted on Facebook that she was looking for ushers. It sounded fun. Being retired, I had weekday mornings free and started ushering for school performances. The main perk of being a volunteer is that I can watch their productions again and again. This is a special organization filled with very talented people. I love getting to watch the reactions of the young people in attendance. Having worked in technical theater for my whole career, I am so pleased to get to be a part of this organization as they spread the love of theater to a new generation of young people.”

If you are interested in volunteering as an usher for Metro Theater Company’s productions of Spells of the Sea and Go, Dog. Go!, please complete this volunteer form and we will be in touch with you soon. Thank you!
