*Metro Theater Company is grateful to Rockefeller Productions and Eric Carle for the license to digitally stream this production to audiences across nine states in our region - Arkansas, Tennessee, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Kentucky, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan. We regret any inconvenience for audiences outside of this region, but encourage you to look for a local production of this extraordinary play at a theater near you in the next few years.

Safety

Your health and safety are our first priorities. So, we’ve changed the way live audiences will experience the show to mitigate COVID exposure risks for our patrons. Don’t worry, these new protocols will only help you enjoy the show more by improving your peace of mind and not get in the way of the magic of a single moment.

Moving the production outdoors was our biggest step, given CDC guidelines about risks associated with interior recirculated airflow. Our outdoor seating is organized in socially-distant pods, keeping all patron family groups at least 6 feet apart from each other during the performance. (If multiple families are sharing the same “bubble” and sitting together, please buy your pod together. We cannot seat two different purchasing households in the same pod.) Programs will be digital-only and sent out via email in advance of each performance. Ticketing will also be contactless, so it is important that you bring your ID as your ID must match the information of the ticket buyer. Per our Missouri Arts Council ArtSafe certification, mask wearing will be required for all patrons ages 2 and up. (Our actors will be masked too.) And per city of Kirkwood regulations, temperature checks will be required upon entry.

If, after purchasing a ticket for a live performance, your health conditions change or you would prefer to exchange into a virtual streaming ticket instead, we are happy to accommodate that exchange up until 30 minutes before showtime.
